Terms of Service

By creating an account or using the Homefairy platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Homefairy is a property agent marketplace that connects shortlet property owners with verified agents in Nigeria. We provide technology infrastructure for listings, bookings, escrow payments, KYC verification, AI-powered search, real-time communication, and performance analytics.

We are not a party to the underlying property transactions between owners and agents. Homefairy facilitates the connection and provides the payment infrastructure but does not own, manage, or control any of the listed properties.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information during registration and KYC verification. Accounts found to contain false information will be immediately suspended and may be reported to relevant authorities.

All agents are required to complete biometric KYC verification, including NIN verification and Face ID liveness detection, before accessing the platform. One account per person is strictly enforced through our biometric system.

Property owners may also be required to complete verification at certain transaction thresholds. Homefairy reserves the right to reject or revoke verification at its discretion.

All payments are processed through Paystack and held in escrow until both parties confirm deal completion. Platform fees are deducted automatically upon escrow release.

You agree not to attempt to circumvent the escrow system or make off-platform payments for deals facilitated through Homefairy. Any attempt to do so may result in permanent account suspension.

You agree not to post false or misleading property listings; attempt to defraud other users; circumvent the escrow or payment system; or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

You also agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the platform; harass other users; or impersonate any person or entity. Violations may result in immediate termination and legal action.

Homefairy's liability to any user shall not exceed the total fees paid by that user in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing information provided by third-party users.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@homefairy.ng. Upon termination, outstanding escrow obligations remain binding on both parties.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
