Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your HomeFairyTech account and associated personal data at any time by emailing privacy@homefairytech.com from the email address registered on your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include your registered phone number so we can verify your identity.

We will confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information as described below.

Once your request is verified, we permanently delete your profile information (name, email, phone number, profile photo, bio), your saved payment card tokens, your property listings (if you are an Owner), and your in-app chat and messaging history.

We also delete your KYC documents, including NIN and passport copies and biometric liveness data, unless retention is required under applicable Nigerian financial regulations as noted below.

If your account holds both the Owner and Agent role, deleting your account removes data for both roles — you cannot delete only one role while keeping the other active.

Nigerian financial, tax, and anti-money-laundering regulations require us to retain certain records even after an account is deleted. This includes completed booking and transaction history, escrow and payout records, and dispute or damage report records tied to a completed booking.

KYC verification records are retained for the period required by applicable Nigerian financial regulations, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Retained records are kept solely for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution purposes. They are not used for marketing, and are not accessible through the app once your account is deleted.

If you would prefer not to email us, you may also reach the same team through the "Contact Support" option in the app's profile settings and ask for your account to be deleted — this is routed to the same privacy team and follows the same process described above.
